Random Movie

The app Random Movie shows random movie after every click. It contains data about almost all movies from the Wikidata database. This is possible because the database is available under CC0 license - the data are essentially public domain.

The app contains some settings that can be opened by long pressing on the screen. First option allows to filter the movies by release year. It is quite useful as the oldest movie is from a year 1887 and on the other hand it contains unreleased movies as well.

It is also possible to filter the movies by availability on streaming platform (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, and Apple TV) and database sites (IMDb and ČSFD). If the filtering is enabled then the app also contains link to the appropriate site. This allows to immediately learn more about the movie and watch it.

The filtering works in following way:
If no sites are selected, then the movies remain unfiltered. If one or more streaming sites are selected, then the movie must be located on at least one of the selected streaming platforms to be shown. The same goes for the database sites.
